-none-

I'm kinda down. I have some reasons, of course, but I'll admit none of them are very good. I just told a friend that it's because I started the week with more good intentions than I'm used to, and watching them die upsets me. That's probably closer to the truth than I realized when I said it. Perhaps the thing to do is pray more and do less? Or pray more and continue doing good without losing hope. That sounds more like Scripture, but I'm going to stop quoting the Bible before I risk losing my melancholy.

Speaking of which, I think I'll take this opportunity (since it seems like the popular thing to do) to post some of my favorite musical poetry:

He says, son, can you play me a memory?
I’m not really sure how it goes
But it’s sad and it’s sweet and I knew it complete
When I wore a younger man’s clothes

I like that song too, but the only words that I generally rememeber are "La la la, de de da la la, de de da da da" Oh, and the part about "Davy who’s still in the navy
and probably will be for life" =P

The sword of time will pierce our skins

It doesn't hurt when it begins

But as it works its way on in

The pain grows stronger...watch it grin, but...

suicide is painless...

just kidding (though I do like that song too). Thank you, Brianna, for the reminder. It actually turned out to be a great week.

Absolutely nothing! I happen to be a navy civilian, myself (that's what my CAC card says anyway...). But I have to admit, if I was a guy, I'd join the Marine Corps 'cuz the uniform is way cooler!!! ;-)
