And another thing...
A question, actually. I want a tattoo. If I got one, what should I get, and where?
(C'mon, admit it! A lot of you probably would get one if they didn't have such loud connotations. I happen to be in a position where I'm not worried about offending those more pius than myself.)

Actually I have one and love it... I would not get rid of it for anything (at the moment, though I may change my mind about that when I am old and wrinkled). =P
As for your question... where it is actually more important than what it is. You need to think about when and how you want to show it off. Leg tatoos are SO NOT sexy on guys. I personally like the shouldler - partly-down-the-arm tatoos (plus having it high enough so that a t-shirt can cover it may be a good idea).
You should get something uniquely you - for example, I have a dolphin because I LOVE dolphins and swimming and anyone who knows me knows that about me. One of my friends has a Chinese-style dragon, which fits his personality and his interest in his Chinese heritage. Just pick something that you will not outgrow 10 or 20 years from now (another friend of mine has a calvin and hobbes tatoo that he greatly regrets no that he is in his 30s). =)
Well, that's it for my 2 cents. Let me know what you decide - better yet, post a pic after you get it done. =P
Yes, it would have to be hidden, since officers aren't supposed to have tattoos that show when in uniform (including short sleeves).
I'm thinking about a simple shoulder EGA
And yes, tattoos look funny on you when you get old, but who cares--my whole body will look funny when I'm old!
